|Recommended: YesA great place to live. — I like The Gates because it's almost like you have your own house. I love the upstairs downstairs layout of each apartment. Utilities are replaced often, so they are very functional, and you definitely get what you pay for in that way. The lounge is a also a great place, and it includes a nice gym with good equipment.

|Recommended: YesThe gates are nice, homey apartments with big bedrooms and close parking. That being said, I had one particularly bad experience here. They made us move apartments for the seven week summer and back to the same one for fall. Logistically this was awful, with half of our stuff locked in our regular apartment, difficult to access. The worst part about this was that they communicated via their emails that we could leave our food bagged and labeled in the fridges over the summer. To our dismay the cleaning crew threw all of it away and the office charged us each 50 for trash removal fees . Moving my food would have been fine, had they clearly communicated that that's what they wanted. But they didn't say so and various times through the following semester shot down our attempts to reason away the hefty fee. We were shafted. We lost hundreds of dollars in food and were charged a 200 dollar total for 10 minutes of trashing it. Ownership and management have since changed but be aware.
Parker I am so sorry this happened to you. We hope this won't happen again and plan to make moving apartments if needed, as easy as possible for you! |Recommended: NoOVERPRICED for the quality of the complex and service from management. — I only live here because this is where my friend wants to live and we have an amazing bishopric. However, this place is so overpriced Stuff is constantly breaking and needing to be fixed. Management is constantly offering significantly better discounts to those who sign a couple weeks before the start of the semester rather than to those who sign 6 months in advance so if you're gonna live here, wait it out till the last minute . They don't do a great job clearing the snow from the parking lot and it becomes an ice rink for your car. I could go on and on, but I do not recommend living here. I've been here for 4 semesters and they aren't improving anything.
So sorry to hear about all of these issues, we are striving to improve here at The Gates everyday. Feedback like this really helps to know the areas in which we lack. Thank you for your review!

|Recommended: YesGreat place to live — I really enjoy living at the Gates because I feel that I am at home. It does not have a real apartment feel because of having an upstairs. Sharing a bathroom with only one person is really nice and I feel that I am getting what I pay for. I plan on living here until I finish my education

|Recommended: NoA little too much for rent but decent property. — The property charges a little more for rent and for parking and not really enforcing parking for visitors I have to park in visitor parking at night walk across the complex just to get to my apartment. The apartments here are nice though and staff is friendly enough I just wish they would come up with a better solution for residents to park by their building instead of randomly parking anywhere more so if im going to pay for it.

|Recommended: YesI love the gates — It's super chill - people are super nice and cooperative. The outside is clean and well kept and I love that you walk out your front door to the outside rather than a hallway. It makes home feel more homey.
